Alpha and Omega comic

So Matt took me to a comic store yesterday and they had A&O #2. Since 1 is sold out I figured I might as well get 2. It's not like I haven't read the book. I was ever so excited to finally see everything in art!

I want to go back to the pics in my head now, thanks.

It's not that the art was bad. The backgrounds were pretty good. It's that it suffers from the same thing the Angel comics did. In that the artist really didn't have a good grasp on how to lay out panels to tell a story in a way that made any sense what so ever. I wouldn't want to be the person that comes to this as an introduction to the series because none of it would have made sense. It's like the plot was turned into a super bounce ball and went ping ponging randomly around the walls of the room. And also... the characters all looked... pretty much the opposite of what they should look like. I mean, I suppose they got the hair color right at least but... ok, the wolves are old but don't look it. They were drawn the other way around, I think. And then there's the issue with Sam. And the one panel where he's doctoring up Charles. And... why does his face look like that when he says drop your pants? Why? It's... why would you do that? Artist-person, these are brothers, ok? So that look is completely gross and out of place. And... really REALLY creepy. And... CREEPY. And I had to put down the comic because I DO NOT WANT.

So yeah. Gonna stick with the books from now on.
