Just when I was starting to think that my immune system wasn't a complete and utter waste of space, I get sick. I'm assuming I caught whatever A, the other postdoc, had. I was in denial all day yesterday that I was getting sick. I gave up last night and started in on the Zicam. For the record, I hate homeopathic medication. It is, by and large, unregulated and unproven. I don't like it. However, I swear by the Zicam cure. The stuff honestly works wonders, whether it's psychological or physical is another story entirely. The point is that it works. I don't care how.

Sore throat, congestion, and fatigue are my only symptoms at the moment. Hopefully it'll stay that way. I went back into town (after being rerouted due to a VD road race) to stock up on Zicam, cold meds, popsicles, and ice cream. I even managed to bribe myself into going to the gym, though my workout was on the slow and sluggish side.

Tonight's schedule: laundry, cooking, and physics.

I'm not being too strict on nutrition or calories today. I'd prefer not to limit my caloric intake when my body is attempting to fight off the plague. I'll keep it reasonable.... but if I go over, I go over.
