** "The Big Bang Theory" is my new-to-me favorite show of the year. It's smart, funny and well done. But it's also confounding me a bit because...
I am a Sheldon/Penny shipper.
That's right, I am shipping a non-canon pairing, including a guy that many ppl like to contend is asexual. Am I the only one on my f'list?
** I'm not quite sure where I fall with last week's "Bones" Avatar commercial. I found it eye roll inducing as a plot, but in character for the guys. It does help to know that Joel Moore, who plays this episodes rotating tech, Fisher, appears in the movie. Creator Hart Hanson had this to say on his twitter - "For those who resent the Avatar tie-in -- it's going to allow us to afford a few bells and whistles the rest of the season." I assume he means there's going to be some sort of effects heavy stuff going on, but I'm still not convinced.
** "White Collar"
Straight up - I was NOT a fan of the parting, cliff hanger "twist". It's extremely out of character for Peter to be that devious or for the show to be that dark, and for me it feels like character assassination for the sheer purpose of filling the cheap seats. If TPTB over there have balls they'll go all out in the back half of the season and make Peter the best double agent ever - but for me to support that we have to see more of his evil side. Mostly I think they'll just find a way to retcon out of the implication the left us with, which makes the whole thing pointless in my book and starts me down the path of wondering whether it's worth bothering with.
Thoughts?
