Ben & Xenia's wedding shower .
Okay, so I've noticed that Jimmy and I have spent every weekend together since we started dating, and even before that. It's pretty interesting I might say.
Last weekend, he came and picked me up on Friday afternoon and we went to Atlanta. We got there around 7 or 8PM and he took me to some part of ATL called Little 5 Points. Its got like a bunch of shops and restaurants that are like, totally different than where I come from. It was interesting. We got his mom a birthday present from one of the shops, and then we left and went to Douglasville to eat.
We ate at Provino's, an italian restaurant. It was like, 10PM when we got there. I can't remember the name of what Jimmy ordered, but I had cheese ravioli and it was sooooooo good. After we left there around 11, we went to Blockbuster and got a movie. We ended up renting Wicker Park. We then headed to Jimmy's parents' house for the night.
They were waiting up for us when we got there even though Jimmy had told them he didn't know what time we would be getting there and for them not to wait up on us. But then again, I guess it really wasn't THAT late. He gave his mom her birthday present, and she LOVED it, props to me for picking it out. She even gave me a hug and was like, "And thank YOU for having good taste."
Haha. They split Jimmy and I up. I had to sleep in Jimmy's sister's room and Jimmy had to sleep in his room. But we were only separated by the bathroom in between the rooms. I didn't care though. Jimmy's sister, Andrea, is really artistic so her room was quite interesting.
Jimmy and I went and watched Wicker Park a little after midnight and his parents went to bed. That movie is so effing weird. Every five minutes, I was like, "Jimmy, what the fuck just happened?" It's kinda hard to follow. I dunno. Whatev. We stayed up and talked until like, 4AM and then went to bed. Jimmy tucked me in and kissed me goodnight and then went to his room. Awww.
Jimmy woke me up around noon on Saturday. His mom had cooked us breakfast, but I wasn't hungry. I took a shower and got dressed. We had to go hang out with his best friend, Ben, and Ben's new wife Xenia. We got to Ben's parents' house in Roswell around 2 that afternoon. Ben & Xenia insisted that they be good hosts and take us out to eat. We all went and ate at Chili's. It was really fun, I guess.
When we were done eating and were waiting on the bill, Jimmy got up to go to the bathroom. Ben was like, "So, I just couldn't wait to ask. What do you see in him?" I kinda looked at Ben funny, and I was like, "What?" and hes like, "No, really. I really wanna know. What do you see in him?" and I just laughed and didn't say anything. Xenia was like, "Ben! Give them some time!" So, he was like, "You wanna know what I think?" and I was like, "Yeah, sure." Then he's like, "Nah, nevermind. I'm not gonna say anything." I was like, "No, tell me. Seriously. I wanna know." Ben said something like, "I think you already know what yall's relationship is about." And at first I thought he was trying to say that our relationship was all about sex or something, and I was thinking in my head, "We haven't ever done anything." But instead I said, "Huh? What do you mean?" and he goes, "I think yall's relationship is a lot more serious than either of the two of you realize. That's what I think." I was like, "Uhm, how do you know that?" and he's like, "Trust me, I know. And I know Jimmy really well. And I can just tell. I can see what he sees in you and I see yall's chemistry. . . I see the fusion." Then Xenia said, "Yeah, and yall are already hanging out with your married friends. You hang out with your married friends, you end up married." And at that point, Jimmy was coming back so they dropped the subject as quickly as it came up. I thought it was weird.
We paid for the food and then left and went to this big vacant football field and played frisbee. It was a lot of fun, despite what anyone might think. Sometime during then, I busted a blood vessel in my thumb, but I didnt notice my finger was completely black until way later on that night.
After we left from playing frisbee, we went to this church where Ben & Jimmy decided to climb the side of it. Then we realized they were having a wedding there. Ooops.
We headed back to Ben's parents' house to get dressed for the reception, and then we all rode together to it. Ben & Xenia had to greet guests as they arrived, so the younger crowd (18-25 year olds) sat together @ a table. Some of Jimmy & Ben's friends from Georgia Southern came to the reception. One of them that I had met a few weeks ago came and was like, "So, Jimmy, when are you and Brittany going to get married?" I was thinking, "What?! Not again." Jimmy and I just laughed it off.
Later, Ben & Xenia came and sat down with us and were saying they needed help moving into their apartment on the 30th of October. Everyone then started asking them when they were going to have a housewarming party and Ben said, "Mid-November. Jimmy and Brittany will be engaged by then." I was like, "Whhhhaaaaaaaat?" Once again, we laughed it off.
By 10, the party had died so all of the younger crowd decided to go to Dave & Buster's to play video games. We stopped by Starbuck's around 11 and got drinks. We sat in there and talked until they closed at midnight. We then went out to the parking lot where Jimmy decided to climb the side of the shopping center where Starbuck's was located. Craziness.
We left and went to Dave and Buster's and we stayed until 2 am when they closed. We then all went our separate ways and Jimmy and I went back to his parents'. We decided to go watch Wicker Park again to see if we could make sense of it the 2nd time. No luck. I fell asleep before the first scene ever came on. So much for previews.
Jimmy woke me up when the movie went off and told me he was about to go put me in bed. I told him I'd walk so he wouldn't have to carry me up the stairs. He held onto me while I was walking up the stairs. I felt drugged. I was so drowsy I could barely keep my eyes open. I didn't even take my cold medicine that night. It was weird. I hadn't even had anything to drink since Chili's.
Once again, Jimmy put me in bed and he sat down beside me. In my sleepy stupor, I said something to him like, "I'm gonna marry you when I grow up." And I think I was asleep again after I said that. I woke up a few hours later and I rolled over. Jimmy was asleep beside me. I woke him up and was like, "You might want to go get in your bed." And he looked at me and was like, "Yeah, you're right." He got up, tucked me in, kissed me goodnight again, and left. I rolled over to pick up my phone to see what time it was. It was 7:30 in the AM! It would have been bad had his parents woke up.

We ate, talked for a few minutes, and then the Martin family decided they had stuff to do outside. I had nothing to do. Jimmy went to go wash his car. His dad went to go check the air in Jimmy's tire, and his mom went to go plant flowers or shrubs or something in her garden. I was left in the house alone. I was like, "Hm, wtf should I do?"
So, I went back into Andrea's room and laid down on the floor. I started texting people, and I called my suitemate Anna to see what she was up to. Then, I decided to use the time wisely adn take a leisurely shower. It was good.
I showered, got dressed, fixed my hair, and made myself look pretty with a little makeup. I packed my bags so we could leave, and then called Jimmy to see where he was. I went outside to where he was washing his car and when he got done, he went to take a shower. I went back into Andrea's room, laid down across the bed, and rested my eyes. Then, Jimmy came to get me to see if I wanted to grab anything to eat from the fridge before we left. I was good. So, his mom fixed us a ziploc bag of grapes and gave us bottled water for the road. Haha. She's so cute.
We left, went shopping, or not really. Just browsing. Jimmy was looking for a beanie because he liked the one that Ben had. We then left and he brought me back to Milledgeville. When he drops me off, he normally only stays for a few minutes and then leaves, but I begged him to stay longer. I think he stayed here for like, 2 hours. I sat on my bed and he stood in front of me and we talked and talked and talked. I love that about him. We always talk. And like, every night while we were at his parents', before we would go to bed, we would sit there and talk for a long time. We had the greatest conversations this weekend and they really reassured me about our relationship.
He left around 7 or 8 and then I was sad. So, it was a pretty awesome weekend. Except after JImmy left, I went with Kadi and Kara to get food and when I got back, I had a message from my cousin Ashley/Tank saying, "I heard you were just about married." WTF. Weird.
Now, I realize that its 10:37PM and Jimmy goes to bed by 11 for work. I need to call him.
