You know the fact that I'm getting married shouldn't make you feel distant by any means. You can always call or e-mail me about something. I'm just getting married I'm not being shipped off to a far unknown blackhole or something. I want you to know that you're not useless, just stuck at the moment. It's something that happens to everyone sooner or later. Thus, the sense that something major is coming might just be a good thing because it could mean that you will be getting out of your rut. It could be something challenging that would thus lead to much enjoyment. I'd say that you should try to take a moment from it all, maybe a roadtrip up north ;-P in order to clear your head. Take a break from LQ for a week, let the guys try to understand what you have taught them, and with that break go somewhere different so you can be you. Maybe play Halo with a group of different people, or in my opinion just stop playing Halo all together... though that is a biased opinion. Basically try to get away from it all, if only for a little bit, so that way you don't have to be a manager, a team captain, a quiet and passive person, you can be you. If you can believe it I just took about six months off from about everyone, just because I didn't feel like being social with anyone, except the soon to be wifey.
As for the purpose of life, there are many beliefs about that one, yet I think of only one. The purpose of life is to live and be happy. If you stay true to that idea of the purpose of life, then you don't need to feel unfulfilled unless you let yourself get that way and decide that that is how it has to be. Try to make yourself happy and from that you will find a reason or purpose for your life. That is my fortune cookie moment, but I do believe that if you try to live your life and be happy, then no matter what may happen things will work out and your purpose or feeling of need of purpose will always be filled. Take joy in the simple pleasures in life, remember the things that you are good at, think about all of the people that are happy with you or wish you well. By doing that then you will feel that you have accomplished many things. Now my fortune cookie moment is over.
Ultimately, try to live your life in a manner that makes you happy. Take time away from the outer shell that exists and let your real self shine. Remember your friends will still be there for you, your team will still beat Sunrise, your job will eventually surely promote you, and life will be good, then the peasants will rejoice.
