Fanime 2010!

I had a good Fanime! It seems the average attendee is a bit older now, and I didn't see as much of the intrusive childish behavior I've seen in the past. I found myself chatting with a couple of the locals, and a couple of random tourists, and they were amazingly interested in the event. One lady was excited when she recognized Naruto cosplayers. XD Unfortunately, random passers-by would tend to think that the obnoxious protesters were actually WITH the convention...
There was plenty of stuff to do at the convention, and the events I attended ran well. The area is really nice, and finding food and even a drug store was no problem. I'm very excited to return next year. I didn't have a camera of my own, so I didn't take any photos to share. But I just bought a camera, so that will change! XD Thank you to everyone who did photoshoots with me! It was fun, and I really appreciate it!
Day 1 - Friday
- I wore my Bonsly and Samichi wore my Sudowoodo. I'd originally planned on selling or otherwise disposing of Sudowoodo, but I think I'll keep it. It's doing ok in storage, and tree!Michi antics are way too amusing. X3 Photoshoot by Lionel here: Bonsly and Sudowoodo
- I later changed into Venus, Queen of Faeries, which I'd only previously worn at SDCC 2004 masquerade. The dress was WAY too big on me, since I'd lost so much weight since 2004. I definitely need to take that in before I wear it again. @__@ Wearing this costume made me nostalgic for Zelda: A Link to the Dance. Those were good times.

Day 2 - Saturday
- I wore Rinoa all day, and it was pretty relaxing. People kept wanting the finger pose, and I felt like a loser doing it. XD I was happy to finally make this costume, though. It's one I'd wanted to do since I first started cosplaying 11 years ago, but since I'd only seen my dad play the game, and he didn't even particularly like it, I never had a good enough excuse to make the outfit. I honestly don't even really like Rinoa, I just think she looks cool. XD I had a lot of fun hanging out with Zach, Caroline, and Nathan and participating in the masquerade with them (and thank you Anela for voicing my part)!

Day 3 - Sunday
- I started off the day with a bit of My Sims with ohmisunao . Game is way too cute. We lose for not getting ice cream or sushi. ;D
- I changed into IdolM@ster, Cool & Sexy for the Stage Zero performance, and then Live for Venus in the evening. It was so hot during the day, I felt like I was going to melt off the stage, but I fun. XD Special thanks to Lionel for the IdolM@ster photoshoots: Cool & Sexy and Live for Venus

Day 4 - Monday
- On the last day I wore my Minmay from 10 years ago. Amazingly, it still fits. XD It's baroque satin, though, and the waistband of the white skirt is starting to pick up some red coloring. I think it's time to retire that one!

I enjoyed good hang-out times with friends I don't get to see too often, although I did miss a couple people. The convention wasn't too stressful, either, since I was fairly well-prepared for the costumes and events I had planned. I didn't actually get much sleep that weekend, but I didn't need much sleep either, due to the medication I was taking at the time. XD Unfortunately, the medication might also be why CON SARS hit me so hard, and why I'm STILL SICK. D: Urg. At this rate, I dunno about AX costumes. XD I've wasted two weeks already just being sick. I dunno if I can still get Fang done. *dodges rage from Rosabella* ;D
