A relatively good day for cheating

What to say, what to say.  It's Monday.  Monday's have a bad habit of being rather unfortunate.  And it's quite a waste to have every seventh day being unfortunate.  Luckily, only some Monday's are the kind with nasty habits.  Nothing about today was particularly awful or wrong, in fact for any other Monday it would have qualified as one of the better.  However, it was predetermined, after how wonderful this weekend was, that any Monday in place of today would be nothing of importance.  Today was satisfactory though, but only because I worked hard on my crossword and almost finished - it wasn't a very easy one (for me) either - plus I got to discuss Othello and now I'm working on reading The Tempest.  I've never read The Tempest before and know next to nothing about the plot but so far it's enjoyable.  Prospero is full of himself, Ariel is magic - literally and that's awesome - Miranda is a bit dramatic but can stand up for herself, and Caliban is a monstrous wretch who's best line so far is: "You taught me language, and my profit on 't / Is I know how to curse".  But those are just my first impressions, we'll see if I stick to my guns.
I got a package from Mimi and Papa today.  It was an advent calender with little chocolate pieces for each of the days leading (from the 1st of December) to Christmas Eve.  Sterling and I always got them when we were little and we still get them, although Mimi says they're harder to find - and in all honesty I don't think I've ever seen a place that sells them so I think she has some hook up with Santa Claus to get them.  I knew what it was as soon as I saw the package, I didn't even have to feel it.  Unfortunately, when I got it opened in my room, ninety percent of the candies were out of their molds for the specific days and wedged elsewhere between the cardboard case and half of them were smashed into chocolate bits.  Good thing for me I'm smart and cut the whole box open with scissors and was left with the transparent plastic mold - I had no way of putting all the shrapnel back together or back into their proper places so I did the best I could and then once the little pieces were beyond hope I indulged in a little advent calender cheating to prevent a potential mess.
