Well, in the last...wow, two weeks? Time is flying by scarily fast. Well, I had an interview with Toyota that went well, but they wanted someone with more experience in the automotive industry. *sigh* At least I know I'm otherwise qualified, that makes me feel better. That aside, I started work at Valvoline Instant Oil Change on monday as an asst manager, which pays passably, gives full benefits and full tuition reimbursement. Plus I get to joke around with other gear heads and work on cars all day, and be out by 7pm at worst. Can't argue with that, honestly. And at worst, if I can't get a physics job by may, I'll be using that reimbursement to either get another degree in mechanical engineering or an MBA or something to that extent. Not exactly a lose/lose scenerio by any means. Not what I'd planned, and not terribly conducive to dating, but all in all, not too bad.
Though, with that arrangement, getting to the library or coffee shop for internet is annoying, so I have internet again at home, thankfully. My router died, rest its hateful little soul - so I have a new and far superior one now, woot. Got to hang out with James & Steve the other day ('cause somebody else was busy, heh! ;) ) at D&B, that was a blast. Checking my finances and transportation, but I may be moving in with James, and that'd be hella cool. Leaving at 6-6:30 to get to work wouldn't be, but I wouldn't be at home, yeesh. I love mom and all, but I've been spoiled by freedom... and I really don't wanna be 'that guy' who goes home after college and just stays there. Barring that, finances permitting, I'll finally be starting aikido after a paycheck or two, and I can't wait for that, either.
Things are going pretty well, depsite being pretty underpaid for my education, but I never claimed to want to be rich, just happy.
