Quick reaction of Supernatural 7.01
I have a migraine starting and am trying to get to sleep, so I thought I'd come quick and get my thoughts down.
I love the episode, and I don't think Castiel is dead. I actually thought that something almost exactly like this would happen. (I thought that Castiel would be eaten by an actual Leviathan after Sam, Dean, and Bobby yanked the souls out of him.) This is much better, because a) Jimmy's body is still there, so Misha is still there, and b) there were no outward signs that Castiel was dead, just the Leviathans' words to go on. So I'm doubtful.
I honestly loved pretty much everything about this episode, and am really looking forward to this season. Last season had such a dull start that I skipped several episodes, and I still haven't gone back to see them. This season is more like season four--startling, shocking, unexpected. And I'll be hanging on not only to see if Castiel survives, but because the show is actually catching my interest on it's own.
