Long Day
Well hello there,
Now I see why people don't update these damn things too often.
So yesterday. (No, not the Hilary Duff song). Yesterday was pretty good. Finally got to sleep, that was nice. I was going to start doing some work, but then Nick told me that him and Jason were going to go to the Miami Art Museum so I went along. It was pretty cool, but there was hardly anything there! Maybe 15 art pieces in all. There was one that really struck me that I just loved. It was a picture of a side of a house, with a light on in one room (two windows). The house reminded me of all the new houses they are building in my town. It was dusk, and there was snow all over the ground. It was really pretty and I felt that it was a very peaceful portrait. The description had said that there was something haunting about it, but I just found it very peaceful. A family, sitting inside by the fire, with children hoping to not have school the next day. That's what came to my mind.
So after that, we came back, had some dindin, and I relaxed for a bit. Went to Kara's for our, what will probably be, last Soprano's party. The food this time sucked, expensive stuff and there was hardly anything there. Afterwards, Charlotte, Ashley, and I went to the library. I got some work done, and then we went out to buy some wine. It was yummy Yellow Tail Chardonnay. I got myself nice and drunk, made my routine drunk phone calls, and went to sleep in Charlotte's bed (minus Charlotte because she was sleeping with her boyfriend)
So that's yesterday. Today just felt long. Did some food shopping for some lunch items. Came back and did some work. Went to the library and did more work. Then Nick's best friend from where he lives came down and we all chilled for a bit. Nick's friend is seeing Madonna before I am, bastard, haha.
That's pretty much it. I passed the class that I didn't pass last semester, so I'm really happy about that. I know my grades are going to be much better than what they were last semester. I'm excited to start anew when I come back down. New classes, new people, new experiences, new memories. But, this summer is going to be great spending time with the usual crews and making new memories with them. I'm excited for my future, while having fun in the present.
