Ah so 2006 trundles it's way to the limelight in a much less dramatic fashion than 2005 did, but that does make me go YAY. On the whole I didn't enjoy 2005 and not too sorry to see the back of it- though of course it did have it's upsides. I look to this year with an apprehensive excitement, it will certainly be a year of change. owowow pins&needles.
Since my last update I have been to the north to see an awful game of football and get very cold, brr, yes. Though the fact that the north is brilliant and I got to stay in Chesterfield with that cool aunt&uncle thatyouhardlyeversee more than made up for it. The day after the match (Hull v Ipswich) was a quite spontaneous mini family reunion thang. My cousin Anna (aunt&uncles daughter) came over which was acers because I haven't seen her for years and the fact she's 24 scared me a little. A little later her older sister Bryany and her 2 daughters arrived. When looking after the youngest (Scarlett, six months old) she grabbed my finger and her lil hands didn't fit around it, and then she sneezed- twice!! Best thing I have ever seen, ever! But that is closely rivaled by her three year old sister Zena getting her t's and k's mixed up. Anyway, enough baby ramblings. Back to manly man mode. Cars, football, beer. Soon after my crazy auntie Julie and uncle Giles, who have spent the majority of their married life living in Dubai and a town outside Delhi (now residing in the cultural splendor of Sheffield) turned up with another of my auntie&uncles, who are ironically from Ipswich. After a quite delightful afternoon of playing good ol fashion games and topping up on the family goosip, pops and I thought it time to leave. On Friday I was sheered before going to see 'The Producers' with Samantha, who was kitted with wonderfully colourful mittens. As to whether they were on a string, I do not know. The film was a touch odd, but quite good and made me fall even further in love with Uma. I think it was about now that I saw the MySpace bandwagon and jumped aboard The finale of 05 started with work followed by football, and the best I have seen Portman Road for some time. I returned to work in the evening for a short stint as a doorman for the ticket-only party, and being a bouncer is fun! I felt veh big&clever. I said bye to my workpeople and went to Mac's for a nice relaxed new year, but sleeping on the lounge floor has broken my neck. yes, broken. Today I have done nothing apart from forget how to use paragraphs and go to work. Even there all I did was eat the leftover sweets from the previous nights party, and on time and a half. Wear more hats.
