It's saturday morning and I'm actually almost relaxed.  It has been quite possibly the busiest week of my whole life, even busier than exam season when I was at school and college.

My lead PM has been assigned 2 new projects, both fairly big but good projects in that they are standard, no surprises and no second rate contractors to work with.  The only thing non-standard about them is that the product is going to Chennai in one case, and probably Bangalore in the other.  Frankly, I'm not that keen on having the shits for a month so I'm planning on avoiding going.  Anyway, he needs support in the UK, which is where I come in.

I am going to Paris for the day on monday.  Actually that's a lie, I'm going to the airport at Paris for the day to observe some of our sub-contractors doing some work for a Air France.  I'm hoping to see the Concorde sim while I am there.  It's weird to be going to another country for the day.  I've done it before, a long time ago and on a bus.  Somehow it seems weird to be doing it by airplane.  Anyway, the ticket price is a whopping 336 pounds... it would be cheaper to go to New York!!  Anyway, I'll go, sit there, do my expenses, do some workshare agreements, program launch notes, take a few piccies of the completed work and come home.

Overall the job is going well.  I like it but we need more people and soon.  Lots of people, we are buried under a mountain of work and some days it's a struggle to see over the top.  I was able to clear my desk of jobs at the end of each day, now I can't.  I guess this is how it's going to be.

Me and Chrissy are going to Toronto at the end of may for a few days for a friends wedding.  We have our flights booked with an airline I've never flown before and my concern is that because they are a charter airline, that they won't be very good.  Fortunately the flight time is quite short.  Not got a hotel yet but I know which one it is I want!!  We've also booked our flights for Christmas, and this time we're going for 19 nights plus an overnighter on the 31st Dec again so it's just under 3 weeks.

Also, my car passed it's MOT.  This is good news as you never know what those jokers at the garage will find.

I was barfed on my my nephew last weekend.

Aside from the need to get some sleep and do some housework things are actually pretty good!
