calling my Tdotters
So. need a quick favor.
what i'm looking for:
either looking for a place to crash for about 5-6 nights (in/around downtown tdot) for my brother. willing to pay a little cash if need be...OR even better- if someone has the hotel hook up...that'd be great. (not sure if he has a car, so he's looking for a 30min radius of UofT by foot/bike)
for whom:
my 40-something year old radiologist brother who was born/raised in england, but lives/works in hk, and is in Toronto for some type of lecturing...he's uber quiet, has a wife and kid, very frugal, but also very nice...
back story:
he's in Tdot for three months on some radiologist specialist learning/lecturing crap (i don't know the details). the first three weeks, he's been staying at the UofT dorms, and he has a 1bdrm condo rented out for the two months following. his wife and kid are going to meet him on september 1st (the day the lease of the new condo begins). now, here's the issue.
the Dorms, are going to be emptied to make way for the incoming kids, his last day i believe is August 25th at the dorms...he's trying to pay extra to move into the condo early, but doesn't think it'll happen. now, he's a frugal fuck, (but hey, that's his business) and isn't looking at spending 150-200 a night for a few days at a hotel...so i said i'd ask around to see if anyone has a place with an extra couch..., or knows of someone who has a hookup somewhere...so here i am asking.
again, he's a quiet but friendly guy, early riser, early sleeper. not a drinker/smoker/partier...he's mid 40's, but you'll think he's early 30's...i.e. the perfect roommate. or...to put it simply, the opposite of me!
what you'll get in return:
an open invite to stay at my 2bdrm duplex apt with private roofdeck in teh middle of manhattan (so long as you don't go stealing my shit!!!)....and obviously him returning the favor should you ever go to hong kong (but do remember, he has a kid (my neice) and a wife- should you ever visit hk and want to party hard).
