[Kitty couldn't help being a little panicked when her tiny blue friend went missing this morning. What if he's hurt? What if someone accidentally stepped on him? What if she accidentally stepped on him? Or maybe Storm tried blowing him across the apartment again

[Somewhere when Kitty first 'loses' him and is tearing up the apartment...]

Kitty?

[ action ]

[phasingly]

[She reels around to look at Rogue, obviously frantic.]

It's Kurt. Have you seen him?

[ action ]

[touchofrogue]

No. [The word is slightly sullen, even for Rogue.] Why're you looking for him under cushions?

[ action ]

[phasingly]

Because he's only like, four inches tall right now. [She abandons the couch, crosses the room and gets on her hands and knees to look under the armchair.] Please tell me you've read the guide and know about the experiments, right?

[She really has no time to explain. She has to find Kurt before he gets squashed to death or worse.]

[ action ]

[touchofrogue]

Four inches tall? [How did she miss this? Oh. Right. She crosses her arms defensively, but there's no hiding the concern in her voice.]

[ action ]

[phasingly]

[Kitty's too busy looking to elaborate.]

So are you going to help me look or just stand there?

[Yeah, she's a little snippy, mostly because she's panicked and worried. She doesn't know what happened between you and Kurt, but she doesn't have time to dwell on it.]

[ action ]

[touchofrogue]

You're not gonna find him by throwing things around in there. If he didn't come out when you called him, he isn't in the house.

[ action ]

[phasingly]

[She gets up off the floor, looking like a woman on a mission.] You're right. But he's too small to use the journals. If you help me, we can cover more ground. We have a whole village to search.

[ action ]

[touchofrogue]

[Rogue scowls, but it's clearly one of concern... and irritation.] What the heck was he thinking, leaving if he was that small?

[As she's talking she shoves off of the doorframe, and goes to put on her coat.]

[ action ]

[phasingly]

I have no idea.

[And Kitty's going to do the same, as quickly as possible.]

I don't even know how far he can teleport when he's that small.

[ action ]

[touchofrogue]

At least he can still teleport. It's not like he'll just stay still and let himself get squashed.

[...right?]

[ action ]

[phasingly]

Well, yeah. Hopefully. But I'm still worried. If he can only teleport two miles at normal size, he's probably down to only a few feet now.

[She finishes fumbling with her coat buttons and heads for the door. She'll even be considerate and open it instead of phasing through.]

Either way, we need to find him before he gets himself in any trouble.

A few feet is plenty to get out of the way if he's payin' attention. [Yes, she may sound a bit like Logan right now. No, she doesn't particularly care. If only she could call up his powers when she really needed them, it would make tracking Kurt so much easier.

Rogue follows Kitty out of the door.]

We should split up and take sides - which part of the village do you know better?

[phasingly]

[Too bad it does very little to ease her nerves.]

I was going to check the main square first. That always seems to be where the most craziness happens. And if he's not there, I can at least find more people to look.

[A quick walk down the hall leads them to the main door and out into the snow-beaten path toward the village.]

[Rogue follows along.]

That's fine - we'll both cover that area and split up from there.

[She pops her collar. And shivers. She hates the freaking cold.]
