When: Just awoke.
Summary: Buffy arrives, assuming that this place is some sort of afterlife dimension.
So, this was the afterlife.
Buffy stepped out of her pod. The strange surroundings and the alien nature of it did not bother her. In fact, had it been too different from the world she had just left, she would have been more surprised. From the peaceful sunny filter that filled the courtyard, she got the impression that this was not some sort of hell dimension. Could it be heaven? But did heaven really have pods, and computer terminals, and the sterile feel? She was glad to have left that first room behind. The courtyard felt much more peaceful.
She found herself in an odd state of mind, sitting quietly on a convenient bench roughly left of the courtyard's centre. She had just leaped for the sake of Dawn's life, for the world. Leaped off Glory's tower and towards her death. But this did not feel like being dead. It just felt like another place. There were others wandering about--apparently enjoying the space--but she did not have the words to approach them yet.
So she sat. Her hands were folded on her lap and she was aware of the clotting blood on her face from the fight she had just left. She wondered about the people she had left behind, and felt secure that she had provided for their safety by jumping into the snag of energy that had been growing beneath the tower. She had saved Dawn, at least.
