The Queen's back had been facing the door, as it was she had been walking about the throne room considering the many new ideas which were incessantly knocking on her mind.

She heard the door open, heard footsteps enter in, but she for some sort of announcement before coming out of her thoughts. The bats above her fluttering and chirping the presence of another human looking creature come to see her.

It was then that she heard the voice behind her. It was a somewhat young and attractive voice to her ears. She turned slightly, her sepia toned back glinting in the dull light, shimmering as it were. Her bare shoulders turning ever so slightly in the direction of the voice. As her head came around with her shoulders the young man came into full view.

She rested her hand on her hips, her figure flattering dress hugging her thin bodice. She smiled at the newcomer. He was so much more "normal" in appearance than the others. She wondered what it would be that would make him useful or even entertaining.

When he had done speaking she grinned and raising one black eyebrow reproached with, "Oh? Well they must be terribly busy elsewhere otherwise my kingdom would yet to have become so great without merely a peep of disapproval."

She turned the rest of her body towards him the train of her dress following her every movement. She waited, hands on hips, for his reply.

He was about as close to normalcy as you could get in this social crowd. A boy of only fourteen. Lithe and petite. By all accounts, he was a weakling. A throwaway. Not in his mind, nor by what he has accomplished, which, in his failure wasn't much, but he was on the cusp of destroying mankind, so, it had to count for something-not that he needed to know that.

"I'd like to agree. The wonders of this world are distracting as any, but they'll be stirring any moment. Wondering what lies in the dark. You, I imagine. What will you plan to do to them if they decide to oppose you?"

The Queen didn't have to think long and hard about this one. She would do to them exactly what she did to anything that stood in her way.

Her lips lowered into only a slight grin her eyes no longer glinting with mischievousness, her features softened, though her body straightening with seriousness, the flirtatiousness gone from her.

"I will kill them."

She tilted her head ever so slightly, curious as to what his response would be. His response to this very simple statement would show her his character and worth.
