So after 21, all the birthdays are downhill, huh?
Anyways, just getting a hold of alcohol on my birthday was an experience. The original plan was to go to Food4less right at midnight and pick up some Corona and Guinness. I wanted to have a Guinness as my first (legal) beer, but Food4less had other plans. It turns out they don't accept out of state drivers licenses, and being Alaska Grown, I was out of luck. I was bummed.
So we went in search of any store open after midnight in SLO that would introduce me to the amazing world of legal alcohol. There's not much to choose from; we drove to Madonna, then out to Osos and everything was closed. We came back and drove by Campus Bottle Shoppe as a last shot, but they were also closed. Just as we were about to turn back we saw the wonderful garrish glow of a 7-11 down the street.
