I'm copy editing a reference entry on Jim Beaver! (Bobby on Supernatural.) He's written a lot, apparently -- several plays and screenplays, couple of books. It sounds like his memoir (Life's That Way) was positively reviewed.

So, OK. In my work life, I'm a freelance copy editor. I add commas and take out commas; sometimes I get to change a verb tense. A lot of what I do is aimed at giving the journal a consistent look in things like references, headings, and figure legends.
