I've been sheltering 7 people and 4 huge dogs that now have nothing to go home to. they are all from pass christian, bay st. louis, or new orleans. none of them expected this at all. they wont even show on the news where the eye hit, which is pass christian and bay st. louis. 3 of them lived three houses off of hwy 90. everytime we watch the news, they all start balling. i feel so helpless. i cant imagine what it would be like to loss everything that u own, the house u grew up in. no way to contact family members that stayed. and like i said, they didn't expect this to happen so they didn't get anything out of their houses, they just took it as a reason for a road trip. i cant even begin to imagine. hell they cant either. they watch the news and are like that's where we shop, that's where we work (the grand casino, which was thrown across the road). they all want to go home to see, and then they dont. even watching the news, they cant comprehend it. none of them want to stay there now. they are all planning on moving to other states, bc they dont think they can handle the rebuilding. theresa isn't going to be able to go to germany most likely since she was suppossed to fly out of nola sunday and her pass port and school shit for germany is at her house. and molly had her beautiful little girl yesterday also. the day soo many lives were taken. i want to call all of my old friends in lawrence county just to hear them say that they are ok.
