Concert Review

A few weeks ago I got to see one of my favorite bands, The Starting Line, in concert. I must say that it was probably the best concert that I have ever seen. I was lucky enough to see them live about 6 months ago, but that show was only a short 30-40 minute set. When I found out that they were coming and headlineing their own show I knew I had to go. Unfortunately I had to go by myself since all my friends had to work that night, but it was still amazing.

I got to the show in time to catch all the opening acts, three in total, and I actually quite liked 2 of them, Steel Train and Bayside. The third band, Four Year Strong, wasn't bad, but just not my type of music. So now I need to go CD hunting and see if I can find any of their albums.

When The Starting Line took the stage the show turned out better than I could have hoped for. I was thinking through their songs and came up with 15 songs that I really wanted to hear, not that I dislike any of their music, but these were my favorites. They played 14 of the 15, with the only one they missed being I Could Be Wrong. For the whole show the crowd was just going nuts and you could tell how much the band appreciated their fans. Their set lasted over an hour and half and was just amazing. One of the greatest moments was when they band stepped off the stage leaving Kenny (the lead singer) alone up there with his guitar. He sang a couple of songs like that and they just blew me away, this gave me a greater appreciation for how good his voice really is. The whole show just blew me away, I'm really glad I got the opportunity to see them play a full show. I really hope that they put out a new album soon and I get the chance to see them again.
