PROM WEEKEND
i dont think i've ever had a better weekend... in all seriousness. friday was amazing... prom!!! AHH! i spent hours being pretty for once and dancing around with my friends until i was ready to drop. it was the most amazing prom i've ever been to and i absolutely loved it. now i'm just upset it's over.... but it was cool.
my friends and i (you all know who you are) rented the party bus! 30 of us got together and went there and came back together. after we got back, we headed over to toni's house... lets see: toni, tom, jamie, alyson, joe, lauren, pat, hampton, and i all slept over her house. hooray for sleeping on the floor! jamie took the couch while toni, tom, hampton and i slept right under her... then we heard some suspicous smacking noises coming from the alyson joe direction.... it was cute :)
the next morning we were planning to get up around 4 and leave *crazy i know* but we slept in until around 6 because we didnt get to bed until about 3 anyway. jamie, toni and i drove... jamie with jackie *she showed up around 6 to come with us*, lauren and pat... toni with tom... and me with hampton and alyson *it was too late for joe to come* stopped at dunkin donuts on the way and we were OFF TO WILDWOOD!!!!!
until jamie got a flat tire... all of a sudden i see her break like 20 feet ahead of me and pull quickly into the right lane... i nearly hit her! but we all pulled over and all she had to change the tire with was a donut... we ended up driving 30mph down the garden state parkway with our flashers on until the next exit where we found a discount car place and got her a new tire and we were OFF TO WILDWOOD AGAIN!!!!
we got there around 12 and checked into the Sunflower Motel... actually very nice except for the fact that everyone else checked into the hotel was having their prom weekend too and they were from jfk memorial hs and their idea of a great prom weekend was to drink themselves sick. anyway.. we all went to the boardwalk for a while and got pizza then headed back to the hotel to look around some more.
james showed up a few hours later. we kinda all did our own thing and lauren, pat, james and i ended up watching like mike alone at the apartment (by the way... toni, tom, lauren, pat, alyson, jamie, james, and jackie all rented an apartment and hampton, krissie, matt and i had a separate motel room in the same motel... we spent most of our time in the apartment with them though) technically i think lauren and pat slept through the movie, but i liked it and i think james did too... at the end of it the four of us decided to go out, ended up on the boardwalk riding go carts! woohoo!!! no one really won... but i definately lost... kept getting cut off by these like 5 year olds and having 18 year olds stick their tounges out at me *coughpatcough* it was really fun though... we headed over to the movie theater cuz i think we decided we might see a movie. we went back to the motel and told everyone about the movie. then a few of us (i think it was james, pat, lauren, alyson and i) took james car and got subway for sunday and went to eckerd
then i think the group was james, pat, hampton, jamie, and maybe someone, i dont know it wasnt my group went to see the chronicles of riddik if thats how you spell it while lauren, alyson and i saw raising helen. we went back to the hotel afterward and just chilled out with everyone. it was cool we could all just be together and have fun. then we all went to sleep :)
SUNDAY: woke up around 10ish, took a quick shower and the whole lot of us went to the beach for a picnic. we ate our food, went swimming. it was freezing but remember to always just run in full speed and you'll hardly feel it :) we made x-rated sand people... played in really deep holes... stared and really big eels... it was FUN! we spent the next few hours letting everyone take nice showers... very nice :D
after that i think we spent a few hours on the boardwalk shopping... a bunch of us got senior week stuff... i got a really cute t-shirt and i love it. we went back to the hotel for a while and krissie and matt finally showed up! i knew they'd try and surprise us... surprised me alright. i walked out of my motel room and looked down at the street, saw them, screamed and went running full speed down 2 flights of concrete stairs... it was fun :) the whole group of us went to duffers for dinner... its this amazing restaurant and ice cream parlor with an arcade and mini golf!
dinner was great and so was the ice cream but when we got home james and tom had to go home cuz they had to go to school today. toni wasnt too happy about it so jamie and i took her to the boardwalk to bargain some t-shirt prices down. everyone really did their own thing. and hampton ended up with his ear pierced at some point in the day. that night toni and i talked a lot and jamie joined in after a while. i stayed in the apartment until like 1 or so before i went back to my room to see how the happy couple and hampton were doing.
we all chilled for a while but matt and krissie kicked me and hampton off the bed and we got stuck on the pull out sofa bed. i swear your butt sunk at least a foot or 2 into that thing. anyway! it was a decent night sleep inturrupted only this morning by lauren's cell phone *which she left in our room* going off a half a million times before we found it and put the vibrator on. it was sooo annoying.
anyway around 9 i got up and took a shower and woke everyone up. i wanted to go to the beach again but it was a little too chilly and no one really wanted to go so we scratched that idea. we ended up spending a few hours at the boardwalk... toni, lauren, jamie, alyson, pat and i all got henna tattos! yay! then we walked around a bit... some more people got t-shirts... matt and krissie went home around 1 cuz matt had to work and krissie's g-ma was coming to visit her. we stopped and got pizza before we went back to the motel where we packed up everything and put it into the cars.
the people who ran the motel absolutely loved us. we were quiet, good kids who werent drinking the whole weekend and they were like so nice to us. we went to check out and they were going to cut our wristbands off *we had wristbands cuz people who aren't checked into the motel try to get in so we wear the wristbands to let them know we're supposed to be there. anyone without one gets kicked out... its surprising how much security there was. so they were going to cut them off but toni asked them not to so we could scrapbook them later and she let us! we walked out with them still on and one of the other owners and one of his neighboring hotel owners were like "wow she's never done that in all the years we've been here!" apparently they liked us A LOT! :)
the ride home was about 2 1/2-3 hours... i remember driving down the garden state parkway when all of a sudden this car pulls up next to me... i look over and there's a car of kids from our school... we shoted to them as we were driving and basically only caught that they had gone to cape may for the weekend. it was really unexpected but they were really cool.
i swear this was absolutely the best weekend of my life. i love everyone that went sooo much and it feels wrong that i have to go to bed by myself tonight without being able to talk to all of my friends before i sleep... i dont like it... we have to do this again before the end of summer.
there are only 3 days left of school... 2 are half days for finals... then graduation and proj graduation... i'm making a scrapbook for the last week of school.. our senior week. i just hope i'll be able to let go
