summertime

Today was the last day of school.
Mommy says that next year I will be in school all day and be in a new school, maybe even with my friend Adam!
I really liked school.

Week of May 11‏
Parents,
We had a very busy last week of preschool. Graduation went very well and the kids did an awesome job! Thanks to everyone who helped serve, set up and carry tables. I hope everyone is enjoying the slideshow; it was a lot of fun to make.

Even though we didn’t get to make it to McFarland Park for our field trip, we were still able to have a lot of fun. We got out tunnels, stilts, play huts, bean bags with a bean bag board and had a great time. The kids also enjoyed playing bean bag boogie, freeze, animal action and who’s on the mountain. We also did this for the threes for their last day of preschool.

In Bible this week, we heard Jesus' story of the shepherd who lost one of his sheep. He left the other 99 sheep to find it. We found out that sheep need a lot of help, and that Jesus cares for us like a shepherd. We made paper sheep to hide in cups for a craft.

On Tuesday Courtney brought her dog to school and told us about the things she does to take care of it. We got to pet her and enjoy her company for awhile.

Update on the chicks, we didn’t have any luck with hatching. We think that the eggs were not fertile or one night the temperature in the incubator got very low and caused some damage. We explained to the kids that the temperature got too cold for the chick to survive. However, Angela Kessler was able to bring in some chicks and Thursday and Friday we were able to pet and hold them. Thanks, Angela!!! The kids were so excited and had a great time with them.

Everyone’s folder should have been sent home, if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to let me know. I will be working at the school off and on the next couple of weeks.
Once again thanks for all your support and help throughout the year. It would not have been as possible to do as many fun things without you! We have enjoyed working with your children throughout the year. It has been a blessing to watch them grow and develop over the last ten months. We are looking forward to having so many of your children back in the fall. Watch the mail for details concerning information for next year before school starts in the fall.

Have a great summer!!
