"Makeshift accomodations"
4/6 Carpinteria, CA

'The Move' has been pretty succesful. It was expensive, but definitely a worthwhile upgrade (the above pictured is not the new place, btw).

Learnings:
- Taking time off of work to devote to moving is a good idea
- Hiring Movers for your big stuff is worth every damn penny. You spend more and get less renting a truck and trying to keep friends sated/motivated/on the planet while you move.
- Offering beer to movers that got their job through their addiction recovery program is embarrasing, but leads to good conversation.

Will post pictures when we're all decorated and organized, cuz our layout is the shit.

I made you read a couple lines there, so I will try to be useful to those of you still reading. Use this handy trick when you want to know stuff.

1) Pick up your cell phone
2) create a text message that says d oubliette (make sure you enter the space. the space is important)
3) send the text message to googl (yes, without the 'e') or 46645
4) Await your reply.
5) try this with words other than 'oubliette'
6) solve arguments in bars.

This can also be used to get weather forecasts, driving directions, and other cool crap (texe 'help' to the same number for instructions on all the features) on your phone. Apparently the only cost incurred by using this is the normal fee billed by your cell provider for text message sending and receiving.
