knitting - touques

While the unpacking is done, the liquidation continues. As much as I might want to continue hoarding, I can't rationalize keeping multiple rubbermaid tubs of fabric and yarn and supplies. Oh, I was such a good collector once!

These are some touques I knitted over the winter. Hats are some of the easiest things for me to knit; repetative circular rows all following the same basic pattern. Crochet touques, on the other hand, are much more complicated and intricate, but that's another post for another time.

100% organic wool, medium sport weight so it's not too chunky. Light grey, red, and dark grey flecked with white. A failed attempt at a beanie beret styled hat, so it 'poofs' a little bit but it's mostly just loose around the upper crown portion.
Medium/large size, would fit any head circumference of 23" or less. The band is knit in a ribbed style, so it's quite stretchy and can stretch/shrink to fit. Mild itch factor, but very warm.

---

A blend of two yarns; 100% organic wool in off-white, and a mohair acrylic blend in a lavender-brown. Ripple stitch around the upper crown, and a big ol' pompom to complete the look. Very soft, but somewhat thin.
Small size, would fit any head circumference of 21" or less. Not itchy at all, though because of the wool content it is very warm.

100% organic wool, thick n' thin worsted weight, so very thick and big stitches. Made from self-striping, handspun browns, tans, off-white and dark chocolate coloured wools. The band is knit from off-white, the buckle is brass and the button is wood and kind of stripey. The hat brim itself is rolled. It's been machine felted so the fabric is dense and there are no stitch gaps, so warm!
Medium size, would fit any head circumference of 22" or less. Very mild itch factor, it's actually pretty soft.
Taken!

100% organic wool, cloche style hat in dark chocolate brown. Machine felted, so it's dense and there are no gaps between the stitches. Green cruiser style bike needle-felted to the side, complete with sissy bar.
Small/medium, would fit any head circumference of 22" or less. Very mild itch factor.

100% acrylic yarns in some pretty eye-gougingly bright colours, wound together so it's exceptionally dense and warm. At least 3 yarn strands wound together, sometimes four. There's acid green, caution-cone orange, avon pink, citric yellow, some denim blues and darker greens, and a trim of very dark navy around the band/earflaps as well as 12" braided earflap pulls.
Medium/large size, would fit any head circumference of 23" or less. Because it's acrylic there's no itch.

100% organic wool, worsted weight so it's thick, big stitches. Beige, grey, and off-white spots. It's patterened off an Australian Quoll, but could be any kind of khaki coloured beastie with spots. The ear flaps are lined with a brown acrylic yarn, so there's no ear itch from the wool. The earflap pulls are braided, about 13" long and fairly thin.
Small/medium size, would comfortably fit any head circumference of 22" or less (though because of the wool composition it can be wetted and stretched to fit up to 24"). Moderate itch factor, but very very warm.

Before I list them on Etsy.com, I'm pimping them here. $26US each (with shipping) to the states, a few coins more for shipping outside of North America. Help me de-stash!
