This is in celebration of me being brave enough to do something I've wanted to do for three months. I'm going to be very vague about what it actually is though, because realistically, probably nothing's going to come of it. But this is me, being impulsive and brave and inspired.

So, Shockers: Parents' Night.

If any Bryan Dick fans haven't seen this, it's from approx 2001 when he's 23 and looks all of about fourteen. See below example. His hair is darker than I'm used to, his eyes are bigger and clearer and he seems much paler than he does now. All in all, I wish I'd known twenty-three-year-olds who looked that beautiful when I was twenty-three.

So, here's the gang that torments our hero, David. The main one is Alan, and I haven't got a clue what the other three are called. Alan is the ringleader.

When I was at school, height was a fairly major deal. It therefore strikes me as a little odd to see a gang where the littlest one is the leader, and Alan is the littlest by quite a bit.

This is a protest, about the violation of their privacy by David carting the camera around all the time. Why haven't the teachers confiscated it yet? I can kind of see the gang's point of view here; David is making the bullying worse by being deliberately irritating.

Teenage boys. Drinking, smoking, getting incredibly giggly.

Mmmm...

There's those big clear grey-blue eyes again.

That ring, or one very like it, shows up on those pictures from Bryan's MySpace

This is interesting. That angry face is absolutely identical to the one from Shameless. It's weird seeing it on him so many years earlier.

A little manhandling by the teacher. I think back in 2001, when my Spanish teacher was still slapping kids with her shoes, you could get away with this. You couldn't now. And Alan's the sort of pupil you'd want to bring back the cane for, frankly.

But he's pretty.

Let's get it over with. Alan, who's getting obsessed with David, his mum and his camera (to quote his mate "You're as weird as he [David] is"). He turns up with the joint purposes of tormenting David and flirting with his mum, completely unaware that David's just shot himself upstairs.

He hears a noise, and remember, this boy is obsessive about David and his gun fetish. The teachers are sick of him stirring, and his mates pay no attention to this obsession. They tease him about being really rattled by David, but he is, and in this case, he's right to be.

The bully is suddenly a frightened kid who's just realised he's in way over his head.

He tries to tell someone he heard a gun, but the teachers, like I said, are sick of him, and he's dismissed with a curt "Fuck off, Alan"

And suddenly, this kid is the only one might be able to stop a massacre with a few people still alive. That's a lot of responsibility to dump on the head of a kid with less sense than a fruitfly.

Until he gets shot. Fortunately, this is the end of the shooting spree.

Less fortunately, Alan is dead, to say nothing of at least a dozen others. Shockers: Parents' Night is really not a pleasant bit of drama at all.
