[Casting Ideas: Jensen Ackles] _

Google: "Jensen Ackles + MCU" (Articles (ex. Comic Book Resources: "The Multi-Cinematic Universe: 15 Actors Who Turned Down the MCU" - Post: 9/29/17), Fan Discussions, more; About / Ex. Auditioning for the role of Steve Rogers / Captain America and turning down the part of Clint Barton / Hawkeye)

I've heard and read a little about it before, Jensen not getting that role and all. That was really too bad. He's such an excellent actor. Just look at his work / range on "Supernatural"! Would've made a better Cap. in some ways than Chris Evans... (Sorry, Evans!) Shame that Marvel Studios and/or the casting crew didn't have more faith in him. (They're not perject or so open to new / different all the time / to certain extents. Missteps have happened before. Like with Edgar Wright being removed as director of the first "Ant-Man" film (2015) and only getting writer / producer credits.) Just hope that experience hasn't completely soured Jensen to taking on comic book (or even, anime / manga) based roles for film and/or television in the (hopefullly, near) future. I pray that both Marvel Studios and the actor will keep that door open or reopen it. Who knows where the MCU will go post-Infinity War. If not Marvel (for good or at all), than perhaps the anime / manga or DC Comics / Arrowverse route. (More DCAU (Timm-Dini-verse) would always be a major plus in my book! Highly recomend checking out the direct-to-dvd feature, "Batman: Under the Red Hood" - Vietti, 2010. --Side Note: Not sure if working on that project, getting the part, recording the voice over work, etc, came before the Cap. / MCU letdown, around the same time, or after...)

(I know. Not the first casting ideas list I've done about Jensen (for comic book and various other types of roles). I just keep hoping to see him work in this/these field(s) (comics, again), get to branch out from "Supernatural" from time to time, and, more so, need to update and refine my ideas and top picks every now and then. (--Roy Mustang, Hal Jordan, Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson, Jason Todd are some of the oldest / earliest / longest running selections I've had since I've started blogging about my casting ideas on LJ about the actor.))
_____________

(Bold - Italics: Some of my top picks at this time.)

Anime / Manga:
Film / TV: Live-Action: Various:
Protagonists:
McGillis Fareed ("Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans"), Lt. Col. Roy Mustang (The Flame Alchemist) ("Fullmetal Alchemist"), Spike Spiegel ("Cowboy Bebop"), Vash the Stampede ("Trigun"), Nicholas D. Wolfwood ("Trigun")

Antagonist:
Millions Knives ("Trigun") (--Vash's twin brother)

DC Comics:
TV: Live-Action: Arrowverse:
Protagonists:
Hal Jordan / Green Lantern, Terry McGinnis / Batman (From: DCAU: TV: "Batman Beyond") (--A somewhat / slightly older version), (Bruce Wayne / Batman --Note: I know, never going to happen. Due to "Gotham" and film-verse. But...Still fun to think about; Also: Dick Grayson / Nightwing, Jason Todd / Robin / Red Hood --Plus, with these, the timelines wouldn't work out overall. Unless maybe timey-wimey / multi-verse / time travel - alt. universes happened like they occassionally do in the Arrowverse (counting / not-counting "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" series).)

Antagonists:
(James Gordon Jr.), Matt Hagen / Clayface (--esp. like the version from DCAU: TV: "Batman: The Animated Series")

Marvel Comics:
Films: Live-Action: Marvel Cinematic Universe:
Protagonists:
Jesse Alexander / Nova (Sam Alexander / Nova's father), Johnny Blaze / Ghost Rider, (Peter Parker / Spider-Man Noir?), Richard Rider / Nova, Marc Spector / Moon Knight, Adam Warlock

Antagonist:
Tony Masters / Taskmaster (--At times: Supervillian, anti-hero, sleeper agent; enemy/ally ('frienemy') of Deadpool)
