I received your card today, drbillbongo! I squeed upon opening it. It is just so adorable and squishy and cute and I love it always. You have very pretty writing, too! (Of course, my brother heard me squee and yoinked the card from my hands. He then went on and on about why there were 'gay sailors' on my Christmas card. Umm... ;)) thanks, DrBill! A very Merry Christmas to you. :)

My cards were sent out Saturday morning, so those of you to whom I sent a card should be receiving it shortly.

I think I finished up my Christmas shopping today. I didn't buy for everyone that I usually do and I didn't spend as much. I hate that because I really do like giving gifts, but I have no money this year. Garr.

Thought I'd post something I hadn't seen and that the majority of my friend's list will enjoy. This quote is from an interview with Ioan Gruffudd on the collector's set of the Hornblower DVDs. Here, he talks about his relationship with Jamie Bamber and how that reflects on Archie and Horatio's. Then, he moves on to talk about *sniff* the death scene. {Transcribed by scaryfangirl}

"Jamie Bamber and I met when we tested for Hornblower. I think this was Jamie’s first job out of drama college-I think he’d left that year. So, he and I, being both at the same age, just became the best of friends-and continue to be best of friends. And I think that you can see that relationship up on screen. That sort of love and admiration and respect that we have for each other as characters really comes from the love and admiration we have for each other, you know, as actors and as friends.

{Cuts to last scene with Archie.}

And the moment when Kennedy dies, I’ll never forget it. We were both incredibly emotional as two actors because he, in the novels, Kennedy, was meant to die in the first episode, but we all loved him so much that we took some liberties and brought him back, you know, for the next series and it was just tragic when he died. And we were both in floods of tears--really--when we were shooting that scene."

Makes me all teary eyed and sniffly. Just lovely.

In other news, I have a very loud sailor figment. *whines* misspeacock, where are youuuuuuu?

ETA: There are many of you that I talk with through comments frequently, but have never spoken to you in real time. Always feel free to IM me on AIM at DMBcrushLV!
