Well, classes are back in full swing again. Watch me rejoice. List of classes:
Meteorology
Intermediate German
The Holocaust and Anti-Semitism (yes, another German history course)
Canadian Studies (WTF. People study Canada?)
The American Civil War and Reconstruction (first time they've ever offered a CW course, wtf)
Voice lessons
As you can see, I'm working on requirements for my history degree now. It feels weird to not be taking any music classes, aside from my lessons. I'm used to practically living in the music building. I'm going to be so behind on all the good gossip! Oh noes!
Notes from today:
--My meteorology prof looks and sounds quite a bit like Dr. Evil. Seriously. I nearly sporfled aloud when I noticed.
--My German prof is the most adorable thing ever (unfortunately married with kids) and is a genuine German (as opposed to those impostor Germans, ya know) so he'll be really good to learn from.
--Sometimes I wonder how people make it to college. Two case in points:
1) It was like almost 85 today. While waiting for a class in an unairconditioned building, I see a girl fanning herself and acting like she's dying of heat. What is she wearing? A freakin' sweatshirt. Hello? Bueller?
2) In class, a boy raised his hand to ask a question. He had a very thick English accent (so much so that Dr. Evil had to ask him 4 times to repeat himself before I felt bad and translated for him). The girl next to him turns and asks him "Where are you from?" The boy kind of did a headdesk and said "England, STOOPID". Ok, maybe not that last bit, but really.
Um, that's all. If anything exciting happens tomorrow, I'll let ya know. I'm sure you're all riveted.
