An odd note on email

My internet access at home is through Cox cable. When I'm directly connected to my cable modem, or using a friend's wireless network connected to Cox, I can both send and receive email. However, if I'm on dial-up, or using another wireless netork, I can receive but not send. I have no idea why. It would make sense to be able to do both, or ( Read more... )

this should not happen are you going thru cox.net to use webmail???? If you have this issue you shouldn't be so call tech support and they fix you up........or at least they should???

I'm downloading my messages through Outlook without any trouble, but I can't send anything from Outlook. Webmail works anywhere. It's strange.

Try Thunderbird, although it sounds more like an anti-spam measure than anything. Still, there's no conceivable reason why you should still be using outlook.

It acted strange. I may give it another shot sometime. Firefox is working great for me.
