A Thanksgiving Tradition
I've had a great Thanksgiving so far. Mom made chicken and dressing, homemade cranberry sauce, and veggies with cheese. Dad made gravy, and I brought pumpkin pie. The meal as delicious, and we all ended up stuffed.
After resting a few hours, Dad and I went hunting. I saw two deer on the field as I was walking to the stand, the first time that's ever happened to me. Unfortunately, I missed. But after waiting in the stand a while, another deer came out (actually, I suspect it was the same one). To make a long story short, I got the first deer of the season on Thanksgiving day, just like I did last year. We field-dressed it and hung it in the freezer, and got home for some leftovers and pie. Deer liver is planned for lunch tomorrow. A family favorite.
