The twins' party!
So my friends (who are obviously twins) Kirsten and Elyse had their birthday last night and let me tell you...it was so much fun. Of course! I mean, I seriously focused soooo hard on making this work out ever since I was invited. My past birthday parties with like, friends that weren't SUPER close have been awfully awkward and I've felt excluded because that's what I was always scared would happen. And I was so flattered they invited me because I've never been that close to them. Like, it seemed like it was only their good friends :D So here's what went down:
We just hung out and went crazy for awhile, doing dinner and presents and cake and whatnot. Then came the really fun part: pool and hot tub, babay! They're super rich, so they have both and HOLYCRAPCOLD. The pool was heated, but still only got up to 70-something. It was so much fun talking around the hot tub, though. I really felt like I was part of the group for once. Although, it really bothered me how negative they were being about guys (that's what we mostly talked about, of course). It makes it hard to truly believe the perfect guy is coming to me. And to just keep a positive attitude, of course. So I just kept quiet since I cannot stand talking about other people anywho. Then we watched The Shining, which was pretty confusing since they had to cut a lot out from the book. This morning, we got in the pool and hot tub again, which was still freezing, only a little more, lol.
But, yeah. I really feel part of the group now and even feel closer to Amanda and Alex, which is just amazing, if ya ask me!
