In Vampire lit, smut and not, they romantically describe the act of feeding as a hot blush as the blood pours down the throat and infuses through the body.
I have had this experience, not in drinking blood, but during a CT Scan. They have this contrast material, not sure what it was, that is heated to core body temperature. I was warned that there would be this warm feeling, they lied and I was laughing like a fiend because of the above analogy. Granted, I'm not interested in repeating the experience but it was exactly what I would have expected.
The next part has no allusion or allegory or analogy to Vamp Lit, or none I want to attribute.
Yesterday, was the follow-up cystoscopy. Why? The CT showed nothing that would have explained the blood otherwise. There wasn't so much pain as the intense desire to piss like a racehorse, amend that, a hose hooked up to a hydrant.
No blood now, not for almost a month...so I'll call it occult hematuria. Occult, in the fashion that there is no reason it happened that we find.
I suppose it could be worse, could be stones, could be a hemorrage, blah blah blah...
