I've already posted this on facebook, so it may be redundant for some. I'm going to add more details here, though. The original questions are directed towards people who have lived in the cities in question, but I'd appreciate any feedback.
Please comment!

Also, I put up a poll!

Luke and I are looking to move for graduate school and to broaden our horizons. He has already been accepted to several schools, and we only have a couple of weeks to decide. Our choices are: Kansas City, MO; San Diego, CA; and possibly Seattle, WA.

What about this city do/did you like the best?

The least?

If you moved there by choice, what drew you to the area? If you have since left, what do you miss most about the area?

How is the overall arts scene? music? theater?

What do/did you do for fun there?

How is the traffic? Public transportation?

Is there anything you feel the city lacks? Any particular virtues or highlights?

What about this city would you show to a visitor?

What places in or near your city would you go to in order to escape from urban life?

Depending on your view of your city, how would you convince or dissuade me from moving there?

If there is anything else you think I should know, please feel free to add it. We are thinking of living in one place for at least three years. Thanks!

I should add these considerations:

I have the most friends in the Seattle area, and my mom only lives about 2 hours away. However, Luke is still waiting to hear back from the University of Washington, so we will consider it as a valid option for the time being.

I have relatives in Kansas City. Luke's parents are roughly 3 hours away. I have a friend in Lincoln, roughly 3 1/2 hours away.

I have a few acquaintances in the San Diego area. My aunt and cousin currently live in Claremont, about 2+ hours away (depending on traffic).
