I post, therefore I am.
I don't post much, therefore I am busy. Big day at the office. I have a list of things that must be done today, before I leave this evening. And I will get them done, dammit!
Random observations, before I slip on the traces.
--Challenge 52 is underway at bloodtiesstills. The theme is the letter "M". And no, I don't expect them all to be Mikons. But I expect a bunch of them to be. ;-)
--No hat today. My hair was perfect when I put on the pomade this morning, so I decided to forego a chapeau. Then the rains came.
--Queen Mab. Is there any more perfect fragrance for spring? I think not.
--Top Chef continues to annoy me. I hate team challenges. When it's a team challenge, it's all about the egos and not about the food. And the food is what interests me. Besides, we all know that Richard has the short odds on winning.
--I still loathe Wal-Mart.
--My shoe sale has come to a screeching halt. So I'm going to drop my prices. If that doesn't work, I'll just load them up, take them home, and put them in the garage sale that I intend to have later in the month. Assuming that I get my decluttering done in time for the sale.
--I have a pot of pumpkin spice Gevalia in my office, and it smells beautifully of cinnamon. Everyone has been coming by for a cup, so I suppose I need to brew another pot. I also brought half & half from home, because I cannot stand that powdered stuff.
--After posting yesterday about singing to myself to cheer myself up, I sang, hummed, and da-da-da-da'd "Abide With Me" all. day. long.
--I'm wearing the most adorable piece of jewelry. It's from the Hotcakes Design line, which is I love (and which is made in the US). It's a pendant on a silvertone chain (trimmed with black faceted beads) that has an oval silver frame and a bubble of clear acrylic over a B/W picture of a smiling African American woman in a turban. She looks like a woman of Josephine Baker's generation, although I'm pretty sure she isn't Josephine Baker.
--I love the name Josephine. And Rosemary. But you almost never hear those names any more.
