The Southern Thrift on Donelson is closing.
It was my favorite place to shop. In fact, I had a Southern Thrift outfit on for church Sunday...a blue and red window pane plaid suit, a red sweater, a sterling snake ring, and a blue all-weather coat. I added a blue and red vintage hat, a blue purse, red leather gloves, and blue shoes.
I am getting nervous about Thanksgiving dinner. Last year, my brother announced that our mother had cooked her last Thanksgiving meal. He ordered a turkey this year, and I'm making everything else. I am most concerned about the dressing and the gravy. I thought my niece Mariann would be able to help, but her supervisor gave her the wrong schedule, and she won't be driving in until Thursday morning. She is bringing a pie.
I'm going to do the preliminary shopping tomorrow before work.
