Here is the recipe for Bacon Bleu Cheese Dip. My guests raved about it last night.
Bacon Bleu Cheese Dip
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon butter
1 package real bacon pieces
2 8 oz. blocks of cream cheese, softened
4 oz. bleu cheese, crumbled
1/4 cup half&half
2 tablespoons chives, minced (or, if you can't find fresh chives, green onions)
Saute` garlic briefly in melted butter. Beat garlic into remaining ingredients, until smooth. Spread in a small casserole dish (I use my medium-sized French white) and baked at 350 for 15 minutes. Optional: Sprinkle toasted walnut pieces on top of cheese dip before serving with crackers and celery sticks.
