Well, it looks like I'm going on a real vacation, for the first time in about 4 years.
Karen and I are headed to the Outer Banks in April. I've never been, and I have wanted to go ever since I started reading Pat Conroy 25 years ago. I have located a place in Nags Head where I would like to stay, the First Colony Inn, but you know how it is when you book accommodations in a place you've never been. It's always a bit of a crap shoot.
Anyhoo, here's a pic of the inn. Isn't it pretty?
