And dammit, even if he hasn't taken immediate action on some things that I think he should have **coughdontaskdonttellcough**, he still impresses me with his intellect, his thoughtful, articulate speaking style, and his personal dignity. But, man...he's really showing the stress of the job in his hair. He's well on his way to being completely gray.
BTW he wants you all to go out and vote. :-)
Moving from the sublime political to the sublimely ridiculous, I think I'm going to have to go see that new Chris Pine-Denzel Washington train movie. Mainly because it's Chris Pine and Denzel Washington.
And moving from the sublimely ridiculous to the subliminally sexy, I got my new ISO catalogue today. What? And why wouldn't I get the ISO catalogue? Interesting gay fiction to choose from and tons of images of beautiful young men. This is sort of the Christmas issue, and the image on the front was of two beautiful young men almost kissing. I believe there was some mention of mistletoe in the cover text. Anyhoo, I picked up the catalogue and glanced briefly at the cover, and then I looked more closely, because the young man in the foreground had a profile strikingly similar to Jensen Ackles.
Once I looked more closely, it was obviously not him, but it was was definitely his nose. :-)
Apolo Anton Ohno is on Stephen Colbert's show tonight, and he's still adorable.
I had a $5 off coupon to Dollar General Store, so I went there to buy my Halloween candy. I got Smarties, because I like Smarties, dammit, and an assortment of Reese's Cup candies. And then I made the mistake of getting a third kind of candy...individual packs of Starburst gummies. And then I made the further mistake of actually opening up one of the bags to try them when I got home. The chances that bag has of actually making it to Halloween are twofold...slim and none.
