I have put a log on to burn and lit all the scented candles in the house.

Why is that, you ask? Because I came home to the faintest hint of skunk in the house. Apparently, I either have a skunk in the crawlspace, along with the rabbits, or one sprayed right next to my HVAC, which sucked the smell up into the house. All I know is that, as I was shutting down my computer last night, my guest bedroom, which sits right over the HVAC unit, suddenly smelled like Pepe Le Pew. I didn't notice it in the rest of the house, until I settled down into bed, and the heat kicked on.

Then I noticed it. :-\

I ended up having to sleep with the covers pulled up over my head, which is probably why I slept so late today. I suffered from a lack of oxygen during the night.

Now, all I can smell is candles, except for the faint smell of mothballs, which I seem to be carrying around the house with me. No doubt because I brushed a handful of mothballs against my shirt, right before I threw them into the crawlspace. I have been told that mothballs will drive snakes and rodents out of your crawlspace, and I've used them successfully before, when I had rabbits under a shed at another house I rented. I have thrown them in from my crawlspace door, and tomorrow, I will roll them in through the dugout place behind the HVAC where I am certain the little varmints are getting in. I don't really mind the rabbits, except for the potential risk of dead rabbit babies who would eventually start to smell (I speak from experience and have the rabbit skeleton in the crawl space to prove it), but I simply cannot have skunks in there.
