I have a lot to do today, and I'm not leaving, until it's all done. But before I undertake it all...
My first book of 2009 will be "The Gargoyle", by Andrew Davidson. And I have to finish it by Monday, since it's the general fiction book group book.
I finished rewatching the second season of "Slings and Arrows" last night. It isn't quite as charming as the first season, but it has its moments. Even a little pudgy and approaching 50, Paul's still a beauty. I have ordered Season 3 from amazon.com, and I'm very excited aobut it, since (a) the company is doing "King Lear", and (b) William Hutt, whom I adore, is going to play the actor playing Lear.
My mother finally mailed my camera and my cellphone charger back to me, so I will have Christmas family pics to post soon.
I am dreading the weekend, because I will have to take my Christmas down. Well, I don't actually have to, but Twelfth Night is over, and the last seasonal church activity--the celebration of Epiphany--will be this Friday night, so I really don't have an excuse to keep it all up. And besides, the holly on the mantle is dry as a bone. I greatly fear that I will do myself an injury when I try to take it down.
BTW, our Epiphany service is going to be a cowboy service. The Riders in the Sky (one of the Riders is a member of my parish) are going to lead the service, so that should be loads of fun. "It's not the easy way, but it's the Cowboy Way."
Ciao for now.
