Phantom documentary on UK tv
A documentary about the making of the Phantom of the Opera Stage show is part of the schedule on Boxing day this Christmas. The documentary will be broadcast on BBC2 - Boxing day (Dec 26th) at 9pm.
The documentary, called Phantom of the Opera : Behind The Mask, features interviews with Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford.
The TV programme includes interviews with the original creative team Lloyd Webber, Cameron Mackintosh, director Hal Prince and lyricist Richard Stilgoe.
Michael Crawford, the original leading man, returns to Her Majesty’s Theatre stage for the first time since he performed in the show’s title role. Michael makes a nostalgic journey to reminisce about the part that won him a coveted Olivier Award.
