I so enjoy seeing the notes and pictures you all post to your facebooks. You should however know about a recent change to their terms of service.

I'm pretty much letting go of anything I put online already, but it's nice to know that FB is all official about it.

Sadly that's not the case. While the CEO of Facebook made a mealy mouthed "well that's an overly formal thing" statement. Indicating that it was needed in order to preserve the look and feel for existing customers after you've cancelled your account. However the Terms of Service have not changed. So I take his little statement like I would someone saying "pay no attention to that man behind the curtain/reaching into your wallet/bending you over that table" Because while the CEO says that he wouldn't use things in the way the TOS is detailed, they were written that way for a reason, namely to take advantage of the content on their site ( ... )

But things that you do not have public will remain un public. This can only work for entirely public accounts.
