A semi-truck jacknifed behind my apartment today.

I woke up around noon today (I took 2 sedating meds last night, because I was upset). When I woke up and went to the bathroom, I heard a large BOOM, and the wall in my bathroom shook. It seemed like an explosion, so I went to look out of my front windows, thinking something had happened downtown (the downtown skyline is visible out of my front windows). But everything was normal out my front windows, so I went to look out my back windows (which face a freeway bridge and a hospital).

I saw this:

I called 911, but they said they already had rescue crews on the way. So, I spent an hour or so standing outside the fence to my backyard, watching everything. Luckily, the driver of the semi-truck was okay. They had to use a firetruck and ladder to rescue him.

All the news channels showed up, and were parked behind my apartment.

I also heard that a lot of people were running around the crash site, looking for spilled beer, since it was a Budweiser truck. Classy!
