dreamsofpaprika gave me Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Doctor Who.
Phantom of the Opera
1. I first got into this phandom when I was 13, in 6th grade, when my school's music teacher played the OLC recording for our class, giving us a summary of the story, testing us on the musical, etc. It was basically a unit of study for our class.
2. Oh, I will definitely stay in this phandom. I've been a phan for for almost 18 years now. God, that makes me sound horribly old, doesn't it?
3. My favorite version is definitely the musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber, followed by the book by Susan Kay, and then followed by the original novel by Gaston Leroux. I'm not much of a movie phan (although the cinematography is gorgeous), and I don't like the sequel (although it has a handful of decent songs). I also like the movie with Charles Dance.
4. I participate in phandom, to some extent. I lurk in some LJ and FB communities, and I have written one or two fanfics. I used to be more active in POTO forums.
5. I think everyone should get into this phandom, honestly. The story of POTO is so beautiful, and has so much to teach people.
Jesus Christ Superstar
1. I first got into this fandom when I saw the show live onstage when I was 14 years old. But I didn't really become obsessed until I saw the version with Jerome Pradon a few years ago.
2. I will probably always stay in this fandom to some extent. The degree will probably vary.
3. My favorite version is the 2000 movie starring Jerome Pradon as Judas, hands down.
4. I'm probably one of the most active fans in this fandom, because, alas, the fandom isn't too active. I have written multiple fanfics, and I comment fairly often on YouTube videos. I have also made some fanvideos.
5. I don't think this fandom is for everyone, especially the slashy version with Jerome Pradon. But I wish more people were in this fandom.
Doctor Who
1. I first got into this fandom when I saw the DW Christmas special "Voyage of the Damned" on tv. Something about it intrigued me, and David Tennant was so cute.
2. I think I will always be in this fandom. Even though David Tennant is no longer the Doctor, I still am a fan, and I intend to watch the older DW episodes at some point.
3. David Tennant, the 10th Doctor, is my definite favorite. But I like 11 (Matt Smith) a lot, too.
4. I occasionally comment on other fans' graphics, fanvids, and fanfics. But I haven't written any fanfics of my own, or anything like that. I do have friends in real life who are DW fans. We watch the series together much of the time.
5. This is a rather large fandom already, and I'm not nearly as involved as I could be. I do wish more of my real-life friends were DW fans, though.
