Awesome deal if you ask me. More bands should do this... it really gets people to buy their album in the first week, haha... or buy their albums in general.
I can't even believe it's finally here.
I looked on Best Buy to see if they had the album near me but it listed that they had none available in my town... I thought that was odd... but they had it 30 mins away from me (Arlington). Anyway, I read this on the Deadsy board and someone said that you should check even if it's listed as unavailable, I did this and went into the Best Buy closest to me.. low and behold, I found ONE copy! I told someone who worked there about how I took the last copy there was and told them of how it was unavailable on the website. They said they didn't know why, but they speculated how it was because there wasn't much in stock. He said something about how it showed there was still one left in their computer, but it was possibly misplaced some where? He said something about once they sell out the new cds, they won't get anymore in? I thought that was odd...but he said it depends on how well they sell that they will get more in... So everyone do your best to get your copy at Best or Fye... so we can help Deadsy sell more albums possibly!!
I'm still listening to the album, it's way different from their first one... it's a lot harder and a bit more insane. Haha, I'm still not sure what to think of their "Paint It Black" cover... Elijah totally sounds insane in that one... but I suppose it's cool or it will grow on me over time. Most of the songs are great, but I really miss their synths... there's not so much in here. I think my major criticism about this album is sometimes it doesn't sound like Elijah's voice is all there... like it fades out too much... like the quality is wonky or something. I dunno. And sometimes he slurs his words together too much in this album.
Songs I'm liking so far: Babes In Abyss, Better Than You Know, Asura, The Last Story Ever, Phantasmagore...
I'm listening to the whole thing for the first time so... I might end up liking it more.
