The NIN concert was just AWESOME. There are no words to describe it.
I'm fucking glad I went. It was definately worth the expensive tickets.
I think I'm still on a "high" from it.
Me and Andrew were kinda rushed on time (Andrew gets out of class at 5)...so we ended up getting there a bit late, well we got there around 7 something and the doors opened at 6:30. The first band was already playing but we still got to catch them by a few other songs. The band was Death From Above 1979. I never heard of them before, but I thought they sounded pretty good.
Then Queens of the Stone Age came on. To be honest, I never really was into this band. Lots of their music sounds pretty dull to me. I remember almost falling asleep to some of their songs even (didn't help that me and Andrew were already dead tired before the show). Heh. I stayed and watched though because I wanted to get my money's worth. Plus I didn't want anyone to steal my spot. :P I remember a girl next to me saying how she wasn't into any of the stuff because how they were supportive of drugs or whatever. They were alright, I guess...playing wise. A whole bunch of people came up and started going crazy to their last song... which was their first hit single, I think.
Finally, NIN came on. They took a while, but I wasn't surprised. They wanted to impress and they had something big planned. Everything, just amazing from them. Trent is truly one fucking artist. The back drops, the lighting from the show. This might be cheesy, but I loved how the "blurred line" (if you know what I mean, I don't know what else to call this backdrop) changed light with the mood of the song. The opening, just awesome. Closed see through smokey curtains. I believe the first song they played was "Love is Not Enough" (well, after "Pinion")... So much energy from this band, so much to make a performance. Everything they played was done just right. I would have wished they at least played "Fragile" or "We're In This Together" since those two songs bring a lot of meaning to me. But I'm happy that they played "Hurt"...I almost went fucking emo to that song. Everyone totally went crazy to "March of the Pigs" (so did I and loved every minute of it, even getting shoved and pushed around...what can I say, it's a pushy song). I also loved it when he played "Only" and "The Hand That Feeds". The video to "Right Where It Belongs" was interesting. When George Bush appeared everyone flipped him off and it was fucking hilarious. The crowd in general was pretty awesome too for the most part. Everyone had lighters lit for "A Warm Place", "Beside You In Time", "Right Where It Belongs", and "Hurt". I could have done without the moshpit that kept starting up where I was...pushing that big sweaty guy was nasty. But it wasn't too bad. There were too many tall fuckers in my area. I knew I should have worn my platform boots. Trent said that it was the first time a girl had shown him "tits" to the song "Reptile". I should have yelled out "SLUT" but I didn't. Damn. :) The show went pretty fucking fast you'd almost think Trent didn't really play much songs.
Here's the fucking playlist...

Hmm, wow I can't believe he played that many songs. This was taken from someone else because I couldn't remember the order...
If the shirts didn't cost $30, I would have got one. I kind of regret it now. But I didn't want to wait afterwards to get a shirt. There were already a large group of people.
