Steps on a Journey
Greetings to you my wonderful friends!
Tonight I completed segments of two projects that I have been working on. The first is a bibliography for my senior music capstone paper. Tomorrow morning at 7:30 we have an annotated bibliography due. I am writing on the issue of which has a more appropriate place in Christian worship - traditional hymns or contemporary praise choruses. My plan of attack on this paper is to present both sides and let my reader make the decision. Well, about 20 minutes ago I finished draft #1 of an annotated bibliography. It's not completely done as I am still waiting on some sources to come on from interlibrary loan that I think will help me.
The next step that I completed tonight is a draft of a musical composition that I have been working on. A while ago my friend Josh Paiz semi-commissioned me to write a piece using a poem he wrote as the text. The poem, as well as the song, are titled Tears of the Gods. I say semi-commissioned as he is not paying me and I said I would gladly write the song. Well, tonight I finished a draft. Now I have to go back through and add dynamic and tempo markings. That'll be fun...
