. The texture around the icon does not add to the icon and there seems to be no color
. The cropping and colouring make it hard to distinguish the picture and the background texture isn't really relevant to the picture.
. the picure is very dark, and it looks blurred/out of focus; the border doesn't do much either.
. the colors are too dark and the green texture does not fit the icon.
. I don't like the green at the bottom and the colors seem to wash the characters out.

.the icon looks oversharpened, but the crop is good and the tiny text fits the icon.
.Nice, clear colours, clear picture. I like the box text and the small swirl of colours on the left of it.
.the picture is incredibly dark, and the border doesn't look like it fits. It's very plainly white, and contrasted with the dark images, it's too much opposition in the icon.
.the white contrasts too much with the picture and the overall effect isn't particularly pretty

.It seems too plain; plus, the picture quality is unfocused. I do like the cropping, though.
.Lovely bright colouring, great use of light texture behind the box of text and a beautiful icon all round!
.I love original cropping, but I'm not a fan of this one. It just seems like a random selection of a photo, as if on accident and doesn't really show what the picture's about.

.Although it is nicely cropped, I do feel that something could have been done to make the colouring pop a bit more. Feels a bit flat to me.

.The picture is far, far too light. Mme and Mlle Giry end up looking somewhat like aliens: white skin, large black eyes. And the brush is exremely hard to see, except on the black of Mme Giry's sleeve.

.Although an inventive idea, the cutout texture and background colour used don't really fit with the subject
.the colouring is quite shocking and doesn't compliment the overall effect.
.The green background seems to stick out more than Meg and the texture used around her isn't really appealing
