Long time no see, eh? Figured I'd give an update on what the fuck I've been doing all this time.
For starters, I'm finally going to a CSU college (Cal State Long Beach to be specific). The environment is SO much different compared to city college. It's awesome. Only problem is that half of my teachers are kind of iffy. One is insanely elitist and pretty much says "You need to do this much work just to get a C." The other half pretty much has no idea what the fuck she's doing half the time, which makes getting anything done in the class a pain. But. I'm trying. I'm actually making an effort to spend more time studying these days, but it's been cutting down in my free time. Such is college life I guess.
Speaking of free time, I'm actually getting bored with Final Fantasy XI. :: listens for huge gasp of surprise from Lyndsi :: It's a bit more than that really. I've just gotten sick and tired of how things are going. The economy sucks (there's no way to make any money unless you're in an end-game linkshell), I can't seem to go five days without getting into some kind of arguement with my peers (most of which have changed into elitist assholes), my own end-game linkshell is becoming more shitty by the day, and, to be blunt, I've done pretty much everything I've wanted to do outside of fully meriting my Black Mage and Dark Knight (both at 75). Only thing to do basically is wait for the new expansion to come out next month and see if that can keep me playing.
In the meantime, I've been looking into other MMOs. I've actually contemplated kicking back up my World of Warcraft account and having a second go around with that. :: listens for another gasp of surprise from Lyndsi :: I noticed that Blizzard has a program where you can download the Burning Crusade expansion, so I may do that, then just pay the subscription with my debit card (if it works).
I've also found a free MMO game called Sword of the New World. This one actually caught my attention while it was in the development stages. The main draw here is that you control up to three characters instead of just one, so you're basically in your own little party. Kind of a welcome change compared to sitting on my butt with a seek flag up on FFXI and other such games. Problem is, the game lags horribly on the computer I'm currently using. I've been trying to hold off on getting too much into it until I can get my own PC, which should be soon hopefully.
Oh, and the restaurant down the street from me makes awesome orange chicken. Yums.
