As I said, this post is dedicated to someone. It is dedicated to Vicki Wright, Rachael's mom. Vicki's been on my mind for the past few days and my father mentioned her today. I do miss her and will forever hold an image of her smile in my heart. And Rach, I miss you too. How are you? My parents sent you something I think...
I would just like to express my extreme gratitude that I am able to go to Mills. I appreciate the sacrifices my parents have made (moving to Hawai'i sooner, staying in Tahoe with the snow and tourists) more than I can say. I am so lucky to be able to go to college at all. But not only do I go to college, I am able to attend a private college with a very good reputation. I have parents that have been married for almost 31 years and are still disgustingly adorably in love. I have parents that have loved and supported me through rough times, drugs, abuse, and general growing up. I have enough to eat. I have enough to drink. I have a warm bed and live in a modern(ish...) apartment with three women I care about. I have a personal laptop, MP3 player, camera, new cellphone, printer, digital clock, and currently a car(few more weeks). I have more clothes than I like to think about. My bookshelf is full, if only I had the time to read them.
Be grateful people. There are problems for all of us, both serious and minor. But it never hurts to take a moment and feel gratitude for the good things you have in your life.
